“It is she who listens to the rest of the world who fails, and it is she who has enough confidence to define success and failure for herself who succeeds”
I think this is the perfect quote to explain the following⠀
When we start something new and we are unsure of how this works, we tend to look for help, and usually from the outside. Our parents, our friends, whoever we feel we can trust and count on. When it comes to more professional help we can search the internet and read articles. We want to know how did the others do the thing we are trying to?
On the best case scenario, we get inspired and motivated and we start with whatever that it is we want to do.
On the worst case scenario we start to compare and we get extremely critical about stuff and we feel we need to be the masters and we need to be perfect… and at some point, it all starts to feel hopeless.
Starting your own thing (whatever that is, the sky is the limit) and putting it out into the world is difficult, but it exciting. And it is Your thing!
So what I have learned; never again will I listen to the outside world when I need help, I might take that information into consideration, but this will not be my whole truth. I will rather look within and know exactly what I need to do. Because nobody else knows, but me.
We have all the answers and we do not need to be perfect right from the beginning. There is beauty in imperfection. We are human. Trust your inner voice. No matter what the society says. Believe me, your soul will be grateful.
